About Oxford
map
The Town of Oxford Massachusetts was founded in 1713 and is located in southern Worcester County.

Oxford was home to people of high ranking such as Clara Barton who was the founder of the American Red Cross as well as Dr. Eliott P. Joslin who paved the way in the field of diabetes. The town was also home to many of the original Slater Mills which played a vital part in the Industrial Revolution in New England.

Today the town is a quiet residential community with a mix of industrial as well as commercial activity.
